DESCRIPTION
Hysal Activator is a water miscible polar additive designed to increase the hydration rate of Hysal SF, Hysal HT, or Hysal C.
BASE FLUIDS
Hysal Activator is used with Hysal products in high density brines composed of calcium chloride, calcium bromide and/or zinc bromide mixtures having densities ranging from 12 to 18.5 lb/gal.
APPLICATIONS
Hysal Activator is normally used at a concentration of 0.5 gal/bbl of brine. Higher concentrations up to 1 gal/bbl may be beneficial in certain brines.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Pour through a hopper or directly into the mixing tank prior to Hysal additions. Fluid temperatures above 90°F may be necessary to produce a rapid hydration.
