Alkaline buffer
DESCRIPTION
Alka Buff Hi stabilizes Hysal® products mixed in more acidic brines. Alka Buff Hi is packaged in 50 lb or 25 kg sacks.
BASE FLUIDS
Alka Buff Hi is used with Hysal HT and Hysal C compositions mixed in calcium bromide/zinc bromide brine blends or single-salt zinc bromide.
FEATURES
- Limits thermal degradation by deterring acid hydrolysis.
- Provides supplemental filtration control.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Alka Buff Hi is easily mixed using a mud hopper or other adequate mixing arrangement.
